CARD – Just Because

Well, the Blendabilities markers line may be discontinued, but I still had this one last card to show you:

Stamp Day Designs, Just Because (1) Stamp Day Designs, Just Because (2)

I started with an A2 card base of Calypso Coral, and added a small strip from the Stacked with Love DSP stack. Then I took a different pattern from the same DSP stack, split the panel and popped both pieces up on Dimensionals to highlight the sentiment (stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the strip between).

I stamped my flower in Memento ink onto Whisper White and colored it with my Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight Blendabilities markers. I punched it out with the coordinating punch and covered the center in Crystal Effects. After the center had dried, I adhered it with more Dimensionals to center/left of the split.

See ya next time … ink, ink, smudge, smudge!

CARD – Hello

Today’s card was CASEd from the 2015 Stampin’ Up! Occasions catalog. I just loved that “Smile” card in the bottom right corner of pg 23.

15 Occasions Pg 23I’m not terribly good at stitching, so I opted for a large sentiment stamp instead. I also wanted a gender neutral look, so I went with a strip of Sweet Dreams DSP for a different take on the color scheme.

Stamp Day Designs, Hello (1)

Stamp Day Designs, Hello (2)

It started with a Sahara Sand A2 card base, stamped randomly with Sahara Sand polka dots (which are actually the flower center from the Petal Potpourri set). Then I cut a 4-1/4″ wide piece of Whisper White on an angle to create the top panel. I made a light pencil line just above the angle and used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to stamp the sentiment in Lost Lagoon and Hello Honey. I Adhere a strip of Sweet Dreams DSP along the edge, and topped it with a Sweet Dreams designer button tied with Whisper White baker’s twine. Then I stamped the doily flowers in Versamark onto some vellum card stock and heat embossed them with White Stampin’ Emboss powder. After punching out the flowers, I placed them along the edge of the angle, adhering them to the back of the panel. To finish it off, I adhered the entire panel to the card front by using Snail at the top edge, and Stampin’ Dimensionals along the bottom.
