CARD – Gorgeous Grunge Party Time!

Another CASEd project … today’s inspiration came from this card by Hero Arts. This one was really fun to make. Enjoy!

You know you want to make this one!:

  1. Start with an 11″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Bermuda Bay card stock. Score and fold at 5-1/2″ to create an A2 card base.
  2. Cut a 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″panel of Crushed Curry. Center and adhere to the card front.
  3. Cut a 4-1/4″ x 4″ panel of Whisper White. Use a ruler or straight edge to make two very light pencil lines approximately 1/4″ and 1-1/8″ up from the bottom edge.
  4. Ink up your Gorgeous Grunge stamp image with Melon Mambo ink. Staying between the two pencil lines, randomly stamp three times across the front of the panel.
  5. Clean your stamp and then re-ink with Bermuda Bay ink. Staying between the pencil lines again, randomly stamp across the front panel.
  6. Repeat the same process with Crushed Curry and Sahara Sand inks. Once all of the inks have dried, gently erase the pencil lines with a clean eraser.
  7. Stamp the “Party Time!” sentiment in Bermuda Bay ink. Center and adhere the Whisper White panel to the Crushed Curry panel.
  8. Cut a 1-1/8″ x 2-3/4″” strip of Sahara Sand card stock. Flag one of the ends to create a banner. Punch out a small star at the bottom of the banner using the Itty Bitty Accents Punch pack.
  9. Cut a small piece of Melon Mambo card stock (larger than the star punch), and adhere behind the Sahara Sand banner so it shows through the negative space left by the star punch. (I’ve also added a small star which was left over from a piece of glitter paper that was punched with the Confetti Stars border punch).
  10. Wrap a piece of Bermuda Bay baker’s twine around the top of the banner and tie in a bow, as shown.
  11. Give that banner a little lift! Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

See ya next time … ink, ink, smudge, smudge!
