CARD – Make a Wish

I’m all about Birthday cards right now … and today is no exception. I dreamed up this design a few weeks ago, and was excited to finally make my little pencil sketch a reality. I thought I was going to have a few more technical issues, but it really did go much more smoothly than expected!

I started with a 4-1/2″ x 5″ piece of Coastal Cabana card stock, and used the Simply Scored tool to score a line 1/8″ all the way around. On top of that I adhered a piece of Whisper White. Then I cut a panel of Moonlight DSP stack and used my Window Word Punch to create the slot by pushing the punch in from the top as far as it would go, and aligning to the left edge of the DSP. Then repeat, aligning with the right edge, and finally the middle.

Measure the finished slot width to determine the width of your tag. Cut a piece of Whisper White just slightly narrower than the slot. Next, slide your blank tag into the slot and place some Stampin’ Dimensionals around the outside edge of the back of the DSP panel, making sure they do not interfere with the movement of the tag. Adhere the DSP panel to the center of the Coastal Cabana/Whisper White. Finally, decorate and embellish as desired!

See ya next time … ink, ink, smudge, smudge!
