SNEAK PEEK! CARD – Window In My Thoughts

Another sneak peek, although today’s card only features one new product from the 2015 Holiday Catalog. (But what a great product it is!) Have you seen the new Hearth & Home Thinlits yet? Oh my goodness! This versatile little two-die set can be used as a window or fireplace (just snip away the windowpane dividers) … talk about the possibilities!

So I’ve had this lovely piece of inked paper sitting on my workspace forever. It was leftover from another project, and I just couldn’t bear to throw it away. I wasn’t really sure what I planned to do with it, but the colors had turned out amazing. As soon as I received this die set, this project idea just clicked. It took a little work to make my vision a reality, but I think it was worth it (and I hope my stars don’t look too much like snowflakes, lol!).

The inked scene through the window was SUPER simple to make. Using my Stampin’ Write Markers, I just scribbled various colors over the surface of my acrylic block, misted very lightly with water, and then stamped directly to paper. (TIP: Don’t remove the acrylic block until most of the water has been absorbed, otherwise you may smear the ink, or damage the surface of your paper.) Once the paper was dry, I stamped the trees in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added a few stars with my White Signo Uni-Ball Gel Pen.

SNEAK PEEK! CARD – Christmas Flurry

A quick post, and another sneak peek for you today! This new stamp set is called “Flurry of Wishes.” And did you notice the (dry) embossing? Loving it! This new embossing folder is called “Softly Falling.” Not to mention those new little snowflake embellishments (“Winter Wonderland Embellishments”). So many great new products in the upcoming holiday catalog, I can’t wait to get back down into my studio and play some more!

SNEAK PEEK! CARD – Silent Night

I can’t believe I’ve already started making Christmas cards, but I’ve set a goal for myself to create a different card for each family/person on my Christmas list this year, so I’ve got to start early! And even though I cringe at the thought of summer fading away, I’ve got to say that I am very excited to share a sneak peek of some new products from the upcoming holiday catalog with you!

Today’s card features a new stamp set called “Wonderland.” It includes those gorgeous antlers and the “Silent Night” sentiment, along with a fantastic grouping of pine trees, a pine branch with pinecone, some scattered snowflakes and concluding sentiment “All is calm, all is bright.” The paper is new too, and is called “Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series Paper.” It has a beautiful variety of Basic Black, gold foil and Whisper White patterns that compliment this stamp set wonderfully.

These new products (and more!) will  debut in the upcoming “Handmade for the Holidays” mini fall occasions catalog, which will be available to the general public on Tuesday, September 1st. Stay tuned for more sneak peeks in the coming days!
