Good morning! Yup, I’m back to Christmas cards again, lol! Today I’d like to share with you this festive card, made with “Peaceful Wreath” from the new 2015 Holiday Catalog. I have a couple of quick tips to provide on this one:
- The wreath is stamped in Old Olive, and I simply used a the brush tip of my blender pen to pull the ink from the line drawing into the leaves. I used the fine point tip of the same blender pen to pick up some Cherry Cobbler from the inside of my stamp pad case to add a dot of color to each berry. To clean your pen, just scribble it over a clean area of scrap paper until the ink runs clear again.
- I heat embossed the Peace sentiment in white onto a scrap of Cherry Cobbler and punched it out my 2″ Circle Punch. Then I placed Stampin’ Dimensionals onto the back of the wreath and centered the sentiment circle in the hole before adhering. By adding this extra step, it made it so much easier to get my sentiment and wreath to look nice and tidy on the front of my card, and it also allowed me to dry emboss the banner without damaging the sentiment. 😉
